Public open space

We are delivering 44 acres of public open space.

We appointed I&H Brown to construct the public open space to the north of Daedalus Airfield, bounded by Gosport Road to the north and Broom Way to the east.

The work will include:

  • Tree and hedgerow clearance
  • Creation of earth bunds
  • Construction of foot & cycle paths
  • Planting and seeding
  • Erection of street furniture including signs, picnic benches, route markers
  • Drainage works
  • Erection of fence & boundary treatment

What are we doing in the next three months?

  • Phase 1 planting and all ground works are complete.
  • We are reviewing the status of the planting and continuing to maintain the site.
